Our Story-Where Chester's Hearts Beats

"Done it all, now finding my greatest joy in the simple things life has to offer."

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

I'd spent years building a busy life -chasing goals, ticking boxes, seeing the world's "big" destination. But one evening walking  along Chester’s Roman walls as the sun went down, something clicked. That's when I knew I wanted to create more than just a place to stay-I wanted to build a space rooted in helping people feel seen and cared for.

WHY YURTS?

Yurts have stood the test of time, just like Chester itself. Rooted in tradition, built for community, and designed to live in harmony with nature – they felt like the perfect way to bring old-world warmth to our historic city.

We named our two yurts after the places that make Chester special:

- EASTGATE Yurt – inspired by the iconic clock tower, filled with organic linens and handcrafted wood from a local carpenter

- RACECOURSE Yurt – a tribute to Britain’s oldest racecourse, built to be spacious and welcoming

Disability and Dementia  is our chosen cause. We’re working to make glamping more inclusive, and donate a portion of every stay to organisations that help people with disabilities explore the great outdoors and experience historic destinations like Chester. Looking after every single guest-and making sure no one is left out- is what drives us every day.

A STAY WITH PURPOSE

Chester Charm was never meant to be just somewhere to sleep. We made a promise to give back to the city that shaped us – so 10% of every booking goes to preserving Chester’s Roman heritage, and additional funds support our chosen cause: making travel and glamping accessible for all. We also work with local suppliers to fill our welcome baskets with food from Chester Market.

Chester isn’t just a destination – it’s a living story. We want to help millions feel that connection, and we believe no one should be left out. By supporting disability and dementia access initiatives, we’re working to ensure everyone can experience the magic of our city.
